Hi Heinrich.  I'm not having the same problem, but I want to double-
check with you about configure.in, which you just updated.

IIUC when 'configure.in' is changed, I need to run autogen.sh again to
regenerate 'configure' before the changes actually have any effect, is
this correct?  After that, I run configure with all of my desired flags
before recompiling pan.  Is that the way you do it?
