[paragui-users] current alpha CVS version and libsigc++ probs

I realise it's going under test and all (after all, without changes it
won't even automake) but as I'm using it as a base for the opengl work -
the sigc++ stuff that is - this is kind of a big problem for me.

As yet I'm fairly unfamiliar with sigc++. And the current version (1.2)
has removed the "convert" function so a section of the "pgsignals.h" file
causes all kinds of trouble.
As yet there's no workaround (as sigcxx - a helper lib for sigc++) has not
been updated (whatever the author says). I've encountered this before
btw - since 1.2 was first released under debian (maybe 6 months ago??) and
got around it by -forcing- sigc++-1.1

This is a silly solution.
Does anyone have a better way to handle the "convert" functionality? Such
as perhaps an explanation of why it's being used at all?
(the author of sigc++ comments that it wasn't really used and it was a
real pain to maintain)

Thank you and have a good day, eh? :)
