Bob, thanks for checking it in.  Parallelism, I like it ;)

Johnathan, can you see what's wrong with the qa code and send a patch
(or the whole new file).

Bob, can you either eyeball the qa code, or back it out for now, so
that make check works.

I'll be traveling today, and away from email for the rest of the day.
