   I've readed the Newscomer's info, and most of the architecture
   docs.  I am a SW develper with 3 years of C/C++ experience on
   linux.

It is about writing some unit tests for the stream filters. In that
way you would get familiar with the tests infrastructure and the base
layer of the library. Would you like to take it?
