Humm... The purpose of pdf_i64_assign_quick() is to be able to
initialize a pdf_i64_t with any 32-bit integer value, and '0' is a valid
value; and that would be equivalent to the new pdf_i64_zero() that you
suggest.
Would be worth analyzing deeper the root cause of the problem with
assign_quick().
