I'll second that :)  Sounds like your getting a hanlde of how phpgw apps are 
all put
together, but if you want a simple example i've found the notes app be a fine
example.   Simple concept, clean and well formated code, and uses all the major
parts: setup, user prefs, app prefs, acls...
