Thanks for the detailed report ... we will get onto this asap. These are
mostly known issues.

The upgrade script is now fixed. It slipped through our last round QA process
- sorry. Upgrade from cvs if you like.

The admin form is being worked on. Should have that fixed soon.

=================== BUG #5173: FULL BUG SNAPSHOT ===================

Submitted on: Wed 09/10/03 at 06:03
Category: API - Admin Bug Group: 0.9.16RC1
Severity: 5 - Major Priority: High
Resolution: None Assigned to: None
Status: Open Component Version: CVS
Platform Version: None Reproducibility: Every Time

Summary: Cannot update existing user

Original Submission: In a new install (see below for details) I created an
admin user (and have SQL authentication on) and when trying to update the admin
to give access to all installed programs I get:

type1person_idvorDatabase error: Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO phpgw_contact_person
(prefix, first_name, last_name, created_on, created_by, modified_on,
modified_by, person_id) VALUES ('test', 'Test1', NULL , '1', '1', '1', '1', '9')

MySQL Error: 1048 (Column 'last_name' cannot be null)

File:
/home/httpd/htdocs/simplygwdev.wearesimply.com/phpgwapi/inc/class.sql_entity.inc.php

Line: 420

Session halted.

I had filled in the last name though. This does not happen when I create a
user for the first time, it works fine. However, any time I edit a user I
cannot submit the changes due to this error. Also I have noticed that when
pulling up a user to modify, it automatically wipes the First Name and Last
Name from the form (they are listed in view format) and puts grupogonher.com as
the domain. You can log in to simplygwdev.wearesimply.com with gwtest password
1234 (this installation contains no company data and is a new install).

Here is the run of events:

I have been having some problems upgrading from what shows as 0.9.14.006 to the
new RC1 in cvs - I will post about this when I do some more testing on this
problem... So at the moment I have the RC1 as a separate installation. I just
took my groupware directory and copied it to a different directory (and added
appropriate vhost in apache) and then did a CVS update. I deleted
header.inc.php and had setup create a new one linking to a newly created DB.
So now you know the complete setup I went through in case you need it.
