(/outside/webserver/docroot is the default in admin or setup, can't remember). It must be a directory in your system outside of the one which contains the files for phpGroupWare, and the user that runs your webserver must have the rights to write inside. That should be enough.
login (config password in the upper field and Clik the login button aside) click the "Edit current configuration" buttonthen change the 2nd field (current value = /outside/webserver/docroot ) to an existing directory on your web server.
and save :-)...and make sure that the web server can read _and_write_ on this directory :-)
