Attached is the patch so that makes digits fixed width.
In the new png font file, the fonts have a "background" of alpha 1 with
each "background" being separated by alpha 0 (the png file's "proper"
background). If you look closely enough in GIMP, you might just be able
to see the difference between alpha 1 and 0!
I also changed the spacing between the numbers etc... so that it didn't
look silly.
I had to widen the info panel to fit in the fixed width digits. I also
managed to reproduce the "marbled" background!
The font change means that if there are 100 Pingus out in the level, you
will see the 100 touch the colon. Putting a space between the colon and
the number 100 would have caused the display to look silly if there were
less than 10 Pingus out (i.e. a single digit).
As having 100 Pingus doesn't happen as often, I decided to make 100 Pingus
look slightly silly rather than have the less than 10 Pingus (i.e. single
digit) situation, which looks sillier.
Also fixed the time so that negative seconds doesn't appear. Also tidied
up the time formatting code a little bit.
Thanks,
Gervase.
