The glade interface has probably rotted a bit. I remember it was very fusy
about which version of
glade to use. I will have a look to see how it works these days, and perhaps
write a show howto
document.
There is a plan to move to gtk+-3 in fact we already have a branch setup, but
its not properly debugged yet.
