I remember a similar problem with one of the early development versions.  But
I have not experienced this recently.  Which version are you running, and on

But you sent this message to a public mailing list.  It's obviously a 
contradiction to send a public message and then to say that it's confidential.
Many mailing list admins consider such notices impolite.  Some even refuse
