this is the result of the logistic regression syntax -
.1-8: error: LOGISTIC REGRESSION: LOGISTIC REGRESSION is not yet implemented.

apparently i do not have the latest PSPP installed. so trying to find the latest build for ubuntu 12.04. presently using PSPP (0.7.9+git20120319-1).

Information about the logistic regression syntax can be found here, in the PSPP manual:

Please note that this analysis is still being fully developed and implemented. At the moment, the logistic regression analysis does not seem to handle dichotomous dependent variables with missing values. Good luck!
