With Tables, I have seldom used the statistical features with my main usage 
being reporting counts, sub-totals, and totals.  Though, I have to admit 
nesting one field within the other is useful.  I have seldom used the layer 
feature (ie. 3rd dimension).  Perhaps a very basic release would be good.

You are not the only one who has asked.  The main barrier is that Tables and 
Reports are both big projects, and I have big projects already (I suspect that 
John does also).
