[Qemu-devel] debian-ppc on OSX w/ qemu-osx ? |

hi all,
i've MacOSX 10.3.6 running qemu 0.6.1.
i can readily (begin to) install debian-testing for x86 w/
/usr/local/bin/qemu /Volumes/test/debian.dmg -cdrom
/Volumes/test/debian_testing_netinstall.dmg -boot d -m 256 -user-net
no problems as yet ...
i understand that qemu on X86 can full-system-emulate powerppc. in principle,
then, i should be able to install "debian powerpc" on an X86 system ...
but,
##################
## QUESTION(s)
my *goal* state, however, would be "debian powerpc" running CONCURRENTLY in a
qemu window on OSX.
first, i presume debian-ppc ON a ppc is a "better" (faster?) solution than
debian-X86 on a ppc. is this a correct assumption to begin with?
second, can qemu simply manage/launch a protected-memory space to run an
instance of debian-ppc 'alongside' osx? would ppc still need to be 'emulated'?
afaik, there's no trace of qemu-ppc in the qemu osx distro ...
thanks!
richard
