The other default devices could use per-machine suppression, too, but that can be left for another day.
Indeed. default_drive should probably be splitted so sd-card/floppy/cdrom can be set separately, then we can start disabling them for machine types which don't use them. Probably most boards have either sdcard (embedded) or cdrom (normal computers), but rarely both ...
I didn't want to grow the patch series even more though and I don't think this is a must-have for 0.12 ...
