Stefan Weil is also providing win32 binaries on his website [1]. I wouldn't call that deprecated.
Occasional compile fixes is a long way from something that is regularly tested and well maintained.
Win32 still doesn't have a proper AIO implementation which is probably close to a 4 year old FIXME.
