Without your patch:

$ file target/s390x/translate.c
target/s390x/translate.c: C source, UTF-8 Unicode text

With your patch:

$ file target/s390x/translate.c
target/s390x/translate.c: C source, ASCII text

Looks like you've got all spots :-)
