I'm not an X programmer (or even a real C-programmer!), so I must ask:
how difficult it is to resize text based apps (xterms e.g.) by lines,
like other WMs do?
Also: would it be hard to check for a "%"-sign after the argument of
"defresizeunit" and act accordingly?
That reminds me... all X windows have a "resize unit" property built in...
why not just use that for resizing the window? Then it just works
naturally for all classes of apps, xterms and emacs included.
I would modify your suggestion to: if the resize-unit is set with
defresizeunit, then use it, otherwise use the resize-unit property set
on the window itself.
