If you get permission from all the people who edited that wiki
page, then yes. Otherwise the parts you took from the wiki must
be licensed under the FDL _only_, which kinda defeats the dual
   licensing.

(Mind you, that is only my understanding of this, I may be
   completely wrong)

I think you are essentially right, though I also think it would be
more accurate to say that Shawn would have to get permission from
any author who's text he would be using. He has mine of course.

One other fairly simple approach that would reduce confusion later
would be make the wiki dual licensed as well. It might be a bit of
a challenge to get everyone who has edited the wiki so far to agree
to this change, but I think it would be best to try to do so,
especially since ideally I think we want to have all of the code on
the wiki available under the GPL anyway.

Sorry this is so complicated. I'm beginning to see better what was
meant by FDL problems. But note that it's also a GPL problem (since
GPL'ed text can't be used freely in an FDL'ed work).

Maybe we should write a little bug report for RMS to describe our
predicament - not that it isn't a known bug, of course.

In the mean time, maybe Björn will be willing to put a notice about
pending licensing change(s) on the wiki's front page, with
instructions that anyone who's edited the page and has a problem
with changing the license should post to this list. Since I don't
expect anyone *will* have a problem, we might give people say 5 days
before changing the license. If someone comes forth with a problem
after that time, then we can just delete their text from the wiki
and press on.

As for me - well, as long as Shawn isn't going to sue me, I'm happy
and relaxed. A great mood in which to write a little licensing bug
report.
