[RP] Error During Configure for Ratpoison Build

From: Jean-Luc Picard
Subject: [RP] Error During Configure for Ratpoison Build
Date: Thu Jul 8 04:56:12 2004

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X V10.3.4,
tried 'configure' in tcsh and bash...

I downloaded ratpoison-1.3.0 tar file
changed to the ratpoison-1.3.0 directory (after untarring it)
changed to the 'src' directory
then ran configure by:

$./../configure --build=powerpc (got error for build so chose 'powerpc')

got the following output:

configure: error: *** Can't find History headers and libs

--> where do I get these 'History' library files? I didn't see them listed anywhere as a dependency. There's a 'history.c' and a 'history.h' in the src/ directory, but no
readline/ directory.

thanks.

Shaun.
