The 'unmanage' command might do the trick for you. Example: I have a bash script to initialize ratpoison/wm-related stuff that runs when I log into my machine (in X). An excerpt:
ratpoison -c "unmanage gkrellm" ratpoison -c "exec gkrellm"That way I know I don't have to worry about cycling through gkrellm or having it show up in my window lists.
