Ben,
With your help and the --windows-mode switch I can now make a local backup on a
Win2K server.
What I want to do is make a remote backup onto a SuSE box. I'm trying 0.11.3
currently, but 0.10.2 had a similar problem.
The SuSE box (david) seems to work fine as shown by:

When I try the same command from my win2k server I get:
