Here's the command line:

I'm using rdiff-backup-0.11.4. The machine being backed up is "Linux xxxxxxx 2.4.9-31 #1 Tue Feb 26 06:53:37 EST 2002 i686 unknown". It's being backup up to: "Darwin xxxxxxxxxx 6.6 Darwin Kernel Version 6.6: Thu May 1 21:48:54 PDT 2003; root:xnu/xnu-344.34.obj~1/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh powerpc".

thanks,

Could you run it on a higher verbosity setting (-v7 maybe) and send me
the relevant information? In particular I would like to know what
file it is crashing on and (if possible) what particular configuration
causes it to crash. Also tell me what options you are using.

Actually that's what's supposed to happen when an initial backup
fails. As it says, just remove the rdiff-backup-data directory.
There shouldn't be any important information in it since there are no
increments produced until the second backup. It doesn't do in
automatically in case there is some important information and you want
to try recovering it manually.
