Hi Nicolas,

thanks for your quick reply! I was aware that SFL doesn't keep my passwords. But i thought the App-Client does.
Cause i am used, that other Apps (e.g. Skype) would do so. But you are right. I also read, that there is no password needed to create an RingID.

1. Am I unable to add a new device, if i set no password on account creation?

2. How can i migrate my account? Is there something like an "export" button!?

Cheers and thanks!

Hi,

passwords for your ring accounts aren't saved anywhere. You don't need your password to use ring, It's mainly used when you want to add a new device and when a migration of your account is required. Also, please notice that SFL does NOT keep your password anywhere, so if you lose it, it's lost forever.

regards,
Nicolas Jäger

Hej there!

Does Ring or Ring client automatically store my password somewhere (e.g. if have Seahorse installed)?

It seems that there is no need to enter my password again. Even if i disabled to start Ring on login.

Have a beautiful day!
