Before you can use a graphical application you need the X environment.
XFree86 4.x is slow like hell even on 32 MB with 256 MB swap (my
situation on this computer before I got 2x 64 MB EDO RAM). Sorry, you'll
have to forget about X as long as using only the Red Hat Linux CDs. You
could use tinyX or other embedded X servers though...
