The package lists were easy enough to update and get working.

However, I have to enable multiple cd installs first, as the rpms for even 
just the base packages are spread over 2 different CD's. With 7.3 it is 
no longer possible to install from a single (stock) cd.

FTP and HTTP installs are fine, but all other methods will fail.
