FYI,
Apparently the import of the web pages in the subversions CVS
is not causing any problems. I had to fix a few things by hand but did
not yet get any complaints, the nightly scripts seem happy. The
/software + /people + /brave-gnu-world are secured. I'm checking the
others.
At the same time I wrote the backend scripts and modified the
interface to handle the fact that existing projects already have a
/software/project directory. The only thing I still do manually is to
edit the loginfo file to ensure proper synchronization with gnudist for
each /software/project directory. I'd like to simple add a rule for
/software but the high load average of gnudist does not allow this. Since
Mark is working on the gnuftp migration, I can do that by hand for one
or two more weeks.
Tomorrow I'll document in savannah.gnu.org/savannah.html all there
is to understand about the coupled www.gnu.org and savannah. At the
same time I'll integrate all the projects that already have a CVS tree on
subversions in savannah. Now that the HTML setup is working, there is no
reason to delay the operation anymore.
Cheers,
