A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
If it already is an official GNU package, it will be approved shortly.
Otherwise it must be discussed on address@hidden for approval.
Jose Antonio Ortega Ruiz <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: GNU MIX Development Kit
The GNU MIX Development Kit (MDK) provides tools for developing and executing,
in a MIX virtual machine, MIXAL programs. The MIX is Donald Knuth\'s mythical
computer (described in the first volume of \"The Art of Computer
Programming\"), which is programmed using MIXAL, the MIX assembly language. MDK
includes a MIXAL assembler (mixasm) and a MIX virtual machine (mixvm) with a
command line interface.
In the short term, a GTK+-based GUI interface for the virtual machine and an
Emacs version of the debugger shall be available.
It is worth noting that the MDK documentation provides a self-contained
description of both the MIX computer and its assembly language, so that the MDK
programs can be used without purchasing Knuth\'s books.
