A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Ben Crackel <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: rvscan
System name: rvscan
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Rvscan, a UNIX remote vulnerability scanner aimed at improving remote security
and encouraging regular package upgrades. Written solely in SH and PERL with
minor help from a few included c packages, rvscan is not yet the most memory
efficient package, although it should soon be entirely rewritten in C. The
current release is at http://og.overflow.org/code/rvscan-v4.tgz, although a new
version (hopefully under GNU) should be ready for distribution within a month.
Once the entire package is in C, I plan to release updates biweekly containing
new vulnerabilities.
