The goal of the RIDE (Ruby Integrated Development Environment) project is 
create an modern IDE for the Ruby programming language complete with features 
like:

* syntax highlighting
* auto indenting
* template expansion
* code reformatting
* class/module hierarchy browser
* code completion
* xUnit support
* refactoring support
* remote pair programming support

RIDE is based upon Eclipse, an open-source IDE framework, and is implemented as 
a set of Eclipse plug-ins to support Ruby development.

RIDE is currently in the planning phase and does not exist yet. Active 
discussions about this project are currently taking place on the Ruby mailing 
list and newsgroup (comp.lang.ruby).
