A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Roland <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: OpenWeb
System name: openweb
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
My Project is Based on the Apache Web Server (http://www.apache.org/httpd.html)
and is called \"OpenWeb\", it is a web server with many advanced features such
as intergrated PHP and Perl Engines, it also has a Web Based management system
for Web Hosts so clients can add or remove modules without disrupting the other
sites on that Server. Another goal is for high performance on the Win 32
Paltform with the same strength, reliability and speed as on Unix Based
Platform. Also on the Win 32 paltform there will be a Installer that guides the
user througth the installation process asking stuf like \"Would you like to
Install PHP v4.1.0?\" and \"Would you like to embed a Perl interpreter in
OpenWeb?\" and so on. It is a good alternitive to servers such as Microsoft IIS
4.0/5.0, Microsoft Site Server 3.x and Microsoft Personal Web Server. There is
also Testing edition designed for testing scripts on your PC. PHP Runs as
either a module or CGI Executable (you choose!) and has a compatability mode so
you can switch between versions of PHP, run multiple PHP version at once or
even for example have a script called hellophp.php3 run under PHP 3.0.18 and a
script called postnuke.php run under 4.0.2.
It does not exist yet but I\'m working on it.
