A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Stefano Falsetto <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: MP3do
System name: mp3do
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

MP3do is an \"all in one\" bash script useful for for
decoding and mastering MP3 and OGG/Vorbis audio files.
MP3do can handle a playlist of mixed MP3/OGG/WAV to:
1. decode MP3/OGG to WAV (or CD-R)
2. auto convert poor quality audio files to 44100Hz
stereo with \"rate\" sox\'s method for a proper
   mastering process
3. check whether all files fits on a CD
4. normalize all WAV files (adjust the volume to a
   standard volume level) using normalize
5. Burn a CD with cdrecord or cdrdao.

There are many other optionals features to quickly
create CD with favourite songs. Near future will be
another option to make a CD-cover also (idea taken from
jt.tex version 0.1 by Emmanuel Michon)

I\'m trying to make this script independent of a
particular mpg or ogg decoder. MP3do uses gettext
to print localized translations of output messages.

It already exists and you can see (and download) it at
