A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Michael Benfield <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: PyPoker
System name: pypoker
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
PyPoker will be a multiplayer Poker game in Python using the Pygame library. It
will be a fullscreen or windowed graphical program. It will feature TCP/IP
network play for up to 8 players. A non-graphical server application as well as
the graphical client will be included. AI opponents may eventually be written
as well. The game will feature a variety of classic Poker games such as 5 Card
Draw and 7 Card Stud, as well as lesser known variations. It will also have the
ability for a user to create custom Poker games by writing simple scripts and
possibly through a GUI configuration.
The framework for the project does exist but is not yet available online.
