A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Sean R. Lynch <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: PythonVerse/RubyVerse
System name: pythonverse
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
PythonVerse is a Python implementation of the OpenVerse protocol used by the
current Tcl client and server at http://openverse.com/. In addition to all of
the features of the Tcl implementation of OpenVerse, it will support formats
other than GIF (GIF will be considered legacy and be dropped, and the project
will include no GIF files) and alpha blending rather than single-bit
transparency. Several GUIs and plugins for other protocols such as Jabber will
be added over time. A pygame/SDL gui currently works, and a wxPython/wxWindows
GUI is under development, as well as a Ruby implementation with the FOX GUI.
It currently exists, but there is no web page for it. It is in cvs at
:pserver:address@hidden:/var/cvs, no password.
