[Savannah-hackers] download area: deleteing files

savannah-hackers,

When setting up a project, I mistakenly placed web-pages in my download
area.
see. Project:
    https://savannah.gnu.org/projects/ci/
and the misplaced web-material.
    http://freesoftware.fsf.org/download/ci/

To remedy this I have tried:
      rsync --rsh=ssh -vr upload/ci/ address@hidden:/upload/ci/

where the local directory upload/ci only contains gpl.txt

rsync proceeds to upload the one file but the web is not deleted in the
download area.

What is the best way to delete the web material?
