I'd remove them from the Attic, since in this case the breakage is not seriuos:
users who browse the HTML documentation of the project will see a couple of
icons indicating missing images, but they will also get a text underneath that
allows them to navigate the HTML without problem. Those images are the icons
distributed with Docbook's stylesheets.
