A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Yves Mettier <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: HotStuff
System name: hotstuff
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
This project does not exist yet.
Let\'s talk about freshmeat.net, sourceforge.net and savannah.gnu.org.
Before VA Software changed its philosophy about free software, savannah was
built. Now, savannah is considered as a \'really free\' alternative to
sourceforge.net.
Freshmeat.net belongs to VA software, just like sourceforge.net. There are
alternatives, general ones like http://linuxapps.com but they look as
proprietary as freshmeat, and free ones but specific to something. One is
www.gnome.org but is specific to the gnome project. jesuislibres.org is
general, but specific to french projects.
There is no free project like freshmeat. We want to build one. The best
features of freshmeat.net should be implemented. The main missing feature of
freshmeat.net (aka free and available source code) will be there too!
