A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Jocelyn Mayer <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Objresolv: an object analizer
System name: objresolv
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Description:
The goal of this program is to inspect all symbols
from a set of object files in order to detect
if some local symbols are declared globals
and/or if there is some dead code in the program.
This implementation uses nm or libbfd to parse symbols.
Try it, you may have some surprises...
WARNING: don\'t try to check libraries with this program,
it would be a complete nonsense !
For now, existing versions are avaible at:
http://l-indien.chez.tiscali.fr/Projects/projects.html#objresolv
Other Software Required:
This program needs nm and libbfd (binutils package)
to compile and run.
Other Comments:
Any comments, idea will be welcome <address@hidden>
