A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Mathieu Roy <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Package DataBase View
System name: pdbv
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Description:
package_db_view output a HTML view of the RPM database. It permits getting
informations about packages installed without starting softwares like kpackage
or gnorpm, just with a www browser. So, with a old computer, it is really
faster and very much easier. Also, it dont take too much hard disk space,
unlike gnorpm and
kpackage (and their dependancies), and can be accessed without a X server
running.

Since any importants elements is some kind of module, support for dkpg or
whatever package database and support for xml or whatever output format can be
added with ease.

It already exists - IT\'S NOT CURRENTLY USABLE but it will be very soon - and
you can download the latest distribution at
http://stock.coleumes.org/tmp/package_db_view-1.0.0.tar.gz

Other Software Required:
GNU text-util, a shell, a package management system... nothing non-free
