License: gpl
Other License:
Package: ljupdate, a LiveJournal client for Emacs
System name: ljupdate
Type: 2

Description:
Hello there.

For a little over a year now, I\'ve been developing ljupdate, a GPL\'d
LiveJournal client for Emacs.

LiveJournal is a libre online journaling system originally developed by Brad
Fitzpatrick. You can read more about it at

http://www.livejournal.com/

Using ljupdate is much like using Emacs\' existing mail or message modes,
except that, instead of being sent as mail or posted as news, the message is
posted to the user\'s journal account, on the LiveJournal system itself or on
some other site using the same software. It integrates with other Emacs lisp
packages, such as the BBDB and the Emacs shell, and further integration is
planned (with Calendar, for instance).

It already exists and you can download the latest development snapshot
distribution at

http://oconnor.cx/documents/ljupdate/development/ljupdate-20020816.tar.gz

Other Software Required:
As ljupdate is an application written in Emacs lisp, it requires Emacs in order
to be used. Either GNU Emacs or XEmacs can be used, and the project strives to
be cross-Emacs compatible.
