Hello,
I am an administrator of the project 'stufe' (my login name is tomsa)
and I tried different time to checkout the source of this project by an
anonymous cvs checkout. Everytime, I got an error telling it doesn't
have the permission to create the lock file for a folder. Here is what I
am using as command (these commands are copy and paste from the CVS page
of the project) :
address@hidden/tmp}
==> cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/stufe login
Logging in to :pserver:address@hidden:2401/cvsroot/stufe
CVS password: <I am using anoncvs as password>
address@hidden/tmp}
==> cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/stufe co stufe
cvs server: Updating stufe
cvs server: failed to create lock directory for `/cvsroot/stufe/stufe'
(/cvsroot/stufe/stufe/#cvs.lock): Permission denied
cvs server: failed to obtain dir lock in repository `/cvsroot/stufe/stufe'
cvs [server aborted]: read lock failed - giving up
So, I was wondering if you had any idea where this error was coming from
and what I should do or should avoid to do to get ride of this error
message.
I wanted also to thank you all the savannah people for all the wonderful
work you do. It is because of guys like you that open source software
can work. Thank you.
All the best,
Thomas
