I wasn' getting anything int eh logs as this was only a 
client problem.  Apears that my ssh upgrade corrupted 
something int eh ssh1 area as a delete and reinstall of the 
client only seems to have fixed it.  Odd thing is that it 
works when ssh'ing to other places via ssh2, just not to 
subversions.gnu.org
