I know :(

The problem is that when I try to subscribe using the web form, I don't 
get *anything* - I don't receive the message to confirm my subscription. 
So I know that I'm not a member of the list, because I'd have to reply 
to that mail (which I don't receive) in order to become a member.

I've tried this four or five times now, starting yesterday morning, and 
I still get the same behavior (caveat: I've only waited a few minutes 
since my last attempt before sending this).

I haven't tried using the administrative interface to do a direct 
subscription, because that wouldn't help anyone else who wanted to sign 
up, even if it worked.
