I agree.
I'm just concerned by the size of their tarballs and was thinking that
storage space was an important part of the distribution issues.

[/etc/apache-ssl]# df
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hdb3 4134932 1488616 2604308 37% /
/dev/hdb5 10325748 8337884 1882960 82% /usr
/dev/hdb6 2071384 711712 1338628 35% /var
/dev/hdb7 8032648 6336724 1614316 80% /home
/dev/hdc2 18534828 6904192 11442332 38% /audio-video
/dev/hdc1 10320888 7521036 2275544 77% /cvsroot

We still have free space and adding one more Hard Disk may be a good
solution.

But we should maybe also ask them to submit their package, developed
on Savannah, to sapdb.org, as you propose because they seem to require
lot of space. They only have one two binaries and use already 100 MB.

[/etc/apache-ssl]# du -sh /upload/sapdb-ports/
109M /upload/sapdb-ports

Regards,
