This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Matt Boeh <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: other
Other License: The Pygmalion license is a slightly modified version of the
NetHack license, which is itself a slightly modified version of the Bison
license.

The changes made from the NetHack license
(http://opensource.org/licenses/nethack.php) are:

* References to NetHack and NetHack-specific data are replaced with references
to Pygmalion.

* The word "Usenet" in paragraph 3 is replaced with "the Internet," to reflect
the preferred Pygmalion distribution medium.
Package: Pygmalion
System name: pygmalion
Type: non-GNU

Description:
(Excerpted from the Pygmalion README)

Welcome to Pygmalion! Or, at least, Pygmalion as it stands today.

Pygmalion is an in-development 2D tiled game engine, written specifically for
turn-based RPGs and adventures. Among its features are:

* Extremely powerful scripting engine with access to the game's internals

* Few hard limits in what you can create -- you're only limited by the hardware
you're working with!

* Open Source, so you can modify it to be able to distribute your scenario as a
custom-made standalone executable.

* Well-supported by a programmer dedicated to keeping it running fast and well
on all supported platforms, with as few bugs as humanly possible.

This is an ALPHA version of Pygmalion. It is distributed without any guarantee
of functionality or that anything in this distribution will appear in the final
version. If you don't have Python and pygame on a Linux machine, you probably
won't be able to run Pyg right now. Support for other platforms will be in the
beta versions (feature freeze, bugfixing).

The source can be found at http://pygmalion.desperance.net/source/ALPHA.

Have fun!

Other Software Required:
(Excerpted from the Pygmalion AUTHORS/credits)

Pygmalion relies on the following software, to whose authors I am indebted:

* The Simple DirectMedia Layer (http://www.libsdl.org) [LGPL]

* Python (http://www.python.org) [Python license]

* Pygame (http://pygame.org) [LGPL]

* PyUI (http://pyui.sourceforge.net) [LGPL]

(Note: Pygmalion will eventually include a Creator program, which will likely
utilize wxPython.)

Other Comments:
Pygmalion is currently at 0.5.3. A roadmap is available at
http://pygmalion.desperance.net/ROADMAP. The primary intent of the developer in
establishing this presence at Savannah is to attract another developer or two,
and also to use CVS.
