1. Introduction

---------------

IPAM is a answering machine using the H.323 protocol.

It requires the OpenH323 library - see http://www.openh323.org for more 
information. It is known to run on Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris and MacOS X.





2. Features

-----------

The code contains the following features:

- requires no codec hardware to operate

- requires no audio hardware to operate

- currently supports G.723.1, G.729A, G.711 muLaw and ALaw, GSM, Microsoft 
MS-GSM, Speex and LPC-10 codecs

- can accept multiple connections simultaneously

- answering process can be defined by config file

- runs a user defined outside program

- can limit the the length of recorded messages

- uses .wav files for the Outgoing Message (OGM)

- records messages as .wav files

- transfer/forward call to other party

- Call Center function
