MRD is a literate programming tool for creating Machine Readable Documentation.
MRD aims to be as simple as possible. Whereas other similar tools typically use
Tex or HTML for documentation formatting, MRD uses plain old ASCII text. This
allows MRD documents to be easily:
- created without learning a new markup language
- edited in your faviourte text editor, eg Vim
- handled by your faviourte source control tool, eg CVS
- sent as ordinary plain text email
- read by anything that understands ASCII years after MRD itself has been
forgotten about.
MRD also inclues support for automaticaly generating HTML formatted
documentation from the ASCII source and ViewCVS integration
Other Software Required:
tclsh >= 8.3
ViewCVS (optional)
GNU enscript (optional)
