I tried to download gcc using CVS with the command:
export CVS_RSH="ssh"
cvs -z3 -d:ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/gcc co gcc
I get a response:
cvs server: cannot find module `gcc' - ignored
cvs server: cannot find module `benchmarks' - ignored
cvs server: cannot find module `testrun' - ignored
cvs server: cannot find module `boehm-gc' - ignored
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot expand modules
Browsing the CVS repository, http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/gcc/ I see:
CVSROOT/ <http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/gcc/CVSROOT/>
benchmarks - /this entry is unreadable/
boehm-gc - /this entry is unreadable/
egcs - /this entry is unreadable/
gcc - /this entry is unreadable/
old-gcc - /this entry is unreadable/
testrun - /this entry is unreadable/
wwwdocs - /this entry is unreadable/

*NOTE:* One or more files were unreadable. The files in the CVS repository should be readable by the web server process. Please report this condition to the administrator of this CVS repository.
