It takes 30 minutes. As far as I can see, your account is activated. You should not be prompted for a password, the ssh key should give you instant access, so there is a problem.

If it still does not work, can you provide the output of:
ssh -v address@hidden

I'm also a member of's makepp, and there I always do SSL-CVS
with my
password and nothing else. At savannah I'm lost. I tried to follow
instructions as follows.

$ ssh-keygen -t rsa
Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/home/pfeiffer/.ssh/id_rsa):
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase): xxxxxx

Enter same passphrase again: xxxxxx

Your identification has been saved in /home/pfeiffer/.ssh/id_rsa.
Your public key has been saved in /home/pfeiffer/.ssh/
The key fingerprint is:
a4:89:83:e2:90:46:78:71:55:88:05:e7:eb:36:0a:e5 address@hidden
$ ln ~/.ssh/ ~/.ssh/

Here I also pasted the complete contents of this file into the

$ echo $CVS_RSH
$ cvs -z3 -d address@hidden:/cvsroot/emacs co emacs
address@hidden's password:

Neither the savannah password, nor the passphrase x-ed out above work.
what does it want me to type in? Does it take a long time to get
