Perhaps it would be useful to expand the instructions
that are given, to offer a backup suggestion.  Do all packages
refer to the same instructions?  If so, extending the instructions
would be useful for all.

Hello,

The line

    export CVS_RSH="ssh"

as documented on the web page

    http://savannah.gnu.org/cvs/?group=emacs

does not work inside Medtronic.


This line, however, works just fine:

    export CVS_RSH="ssh2"

(I do not know if ssh2 is automatically installed.)
